Excited to have attended a transdisciplinary ‘masterclass’ organised by Metrolab Brussels. A two week programme of conferences and workshops explored the role of hospitality as a tool and measure for urban inclusion and democracy.

Spent today reading through news articles related to House 45 and the campaigns/stories relating to Garnets Green clean up. Lloyd-Wilson, the artists in residence, share news and experiences as local residents:
As a resident of the Garnets, I and my neighbours are not opposed to new houses being built in the Garnets but we value the space we currently have and feel that our quality of life will be effected by over population and lack of public space due to the proposed housing develop and current construction of another large supermarket on our doorstep.[1]

I spent the first four weeks writing regularly in my diary. I took it everywhere in my bag. I kept writing, even if I wasn’t sure that the stories communicated anything of value or revealed anything other than descriptions of boring undertakings or indulgent asides.
An initial response to artist live/work ideas, playing with words to develop a graphic identity.
